Police Foundations is one of the best community service career paths in Canada. career paths in Canada. This program provides individuals with the foundation, knowledge and basic skills needed for successful employment in the field.

Employment Opportunities
Graduates have a wide range of options when deciding where to apply their training in the Police Foundations field. Some areas to consider include working in, Ontario Police Services, Public Security Guard, By-Law Enforcement, Private Security and Investigation Firms, Conservation Officers/Park Wardens, Federal Enforcement Agencies (RCMP, and Customs Officers), Railway Police, Military Police, and Civil Enforcement.

Prerequisites
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma, General Education Diploma or Mature Student Status
• Photo ID/SIN document verification letter
• Submission of negative CPIC
• Successful interview with the
Registrar

Graduation Requirements
Prior to graduation, students are required to produce evidence of the following:
• Completion of 100 hours of volunteer work experience
• Final mark of 70%
• Successful completion of First Aid and CPR
• Successful completion of non-violent crisis intervention
